Mobile Video Evidence - MOVE
The MOVE (Mobile Video Evidence) project has directly benefited 28 Learners. This project is supported by 4 teaching staff and is backed up by 3 technical staff. All learners have a combination of physical and learning disabilities and difficulties; many are diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other similar conditions. The project issued all 'Arts Award' vocational studies learners with a solid state video recorder for evidence gathering purposes, this can be kept by the learner at all times and taken to all sessions. An enhanced video download, editing and storage facility has been provided to process the video that is taken. We have provided an accessible web based online e-portfolio system that can be accessed by learners and stakeholders such as parents via a secure login. We have supported learner’s skills for life development by embedding all of this activity into an appropriate teaching session and enhanced independence and decision making skills of all learners in the project. Some tutors have reported increased engagement with both portfolio building and skills for life development as a result of the mobile technology issued to learners. This video showcases our current progress.
