A dedicated FREE application for the iPodTouch/iPhone is now available. This application allows you to stream video (from a wireless connection) through your iPod (or iPhone3G) and download the content and view offline.
You can download the application to your device in one of three ways:
1. Download it directly from the iPhone/iPod. The device must have a minimum of OS 2.0 installed.
1.1 Open the "App Store" application on the device. Then either use the Search screen to search for "moletv" (ensure you locate the App not the Podcast).
1.2 On the application information screen, tap on the "Free" button. This will download and install the application. It might ask for the iTunes Store account password (You should have set this up when you first set the iPhone/iPod up with iTunes).
1.3 The "Home" screen will appear, and the MoLeTV icon will now show. It will have a progress bar while it downloads and installs, and then it'll be available.
2. Via the link http://itunes.com/apps/MoLeTV (opens in a new window). Clicking this link will open iTunes, and will load the MoLeTV application page in the iTunes store.
2.1 Click on "Get App". It will ask for the iTunes Store username and password to confirm, and then download the application into iTunes.
2.2 Synchronise the iPhone/iPod. It will then install the application onto the device. Ensure that under 'devices' in iTunes your iPod is set-up to sync applications.
3. By finding it in the iTunes Store.
3.1 In iTunes, select the 'iTunes Store' option from the sidebar menu on the left, followed by 'App Store' from the top left menu in the store.
3.2 The application can be found by using the Search feature in the top right of the window (search for "moletv"), or by opening the 'Education' category from the Categories menu on the left and browsing through. Ensure you locate the App not the Podcast.
3.3. Click on "Free App" button. It will ask for the iTunes Store username and password to confirm, and then download the application into iTunes.
3.4 Synchronise the iPhone/iPod. It will then install the application onto the device. Ensure that under 'devices' in iTunes your iPod is set-up to sync applications.
When you open MoLeTV on the iPod or iPhone, it will load a list of available videos and MP3s. If an internet connection is available, it will also load any updates that are available online. Items which are not available for download on MoLeTV will not be available to the device.
Use the buttons across the bottom of the screen to access different parts of the program:
"Latest" and "All Videos" give you a list of the available content to browse through. "Latest" shows the most recently added content, while "All Videos" presents the list in alphabetical order with a search feature.
From these two screens, you can play back video and audio, or download it if you want to play it back later when you don't have an internet connection.
"Downloads" will list anything you are currently downloading. A small badge on the button shows the number of active downloads.
"My Videos" shows the content you have downloaded. You can always play back content from here, even without an internet connection.
Presents a list of the latest content added to MoLeTV.
You can browse through a page at a time, and tap on any item to view the full details.
When you have the full details screen open, you have the option of downloading the video/audio file for playback later. You can press Play to play the file over the network (WiFi connection required).
Please note that you must download the file if you want to play it later when you don't have an internet connection.
Shows you all of the content presented in alphabetical order.
You can search from this screen - just tap on the search bar at the top and enter a keyword you want to search for, then press Search and your results will be shown.
You can view details and download from this screen too, or press Play to play it over the internet (WiFi connection required).
Please note that you must download the file if you want to play it later when you don't have an internet connection.
Shows a list of any files that are currently downloading.
The files download one at a time, it's quite quick but might take a few minutes for very long videos or if your connection is slow.
Once a file is downloaded, it will disappear from this list and become available in 'My Videos".
Downloads will stop if you close the application, so keep MoLeTV open until all of your downloads have finished. If you do close the app, downloads will restart automatically when you next open MoLeTV.
Please note that a WiFi connection is required for downloads - it won't work on an iPhone's data connection.
Presents a list of the content you have downloaded.
Tap on any item to show the details, and from there press Play to watch the video or listen to the audio.
At the top, you will see Disk Usage information. This tells you how many videos you have downloaded, and how much disk space has been used on your iPod/iPhone.
