Recap exercise on deep and surface learning
Alyson Jolley, teacher trainer at Stafford College used flip cameras to support a recap exercise on deep and surface learning. Teacher trainees were divided into pairs and allocated a question for them to consider. They were allowed one minute before being invited to write their answers on the PowerPoint slide. Flip cameras were used to record their feedback which was uploaded onto the Moodle VLE for others to critique. PhotoStory was used to capture the PowerPoint annotations.

This video clip is a screencast showing you how to get the most out of the Tariff. Using this interactive tool, you can identify the relationship of your existing initial teaching or training qualification gained before September 2007 to the new teaching qualifications (PTLLS/CTLLs/DTLLS) introduced as part of the FE Reforms and new Regulations introduced at that time. You can then ensure you start at the appropriate point in your journey to professional licensed status (A/QTLS), possibly saving hourse of retraining. There are also suggestions to help when planning your CPD. Check out the Tariff at www.tariff.svuk.eu after viewing the video (has audio narration).
